Mammoth ivory Kubok
Carved with foliage decoration on an amati ground, decorated on both sides in oval reserves with a portrait of Tsar Peter I of Russia, known as the Great (1682-1725) on one side and a crowned imperial eagle of the Russian Empire on the other.
Russia, probably St. Petersburg, mid-18th century.
Attributed to the workshop of Osip Christoforovich Dudin (1715-1785).
Height: 15.4 cm
Cracks and minor wear, possibly part of a chalice, circular base.
